The suitable harvesting period and seed preservation techniques for peanuts are introduced as follows:
1. Harvest in time. Since peanuts are crops that bloom above ground and bear fruit underground, it is generally difficult to see whether the pods are full and mature from the outside. At the same time, peanuts are continuous flowering and continuous pod formation, so the maturity of the pods is also inconsistent. Harvesting too early or too late can affect yield and quality. Therefore, it is particularly important to determine the suitable harvest period for peanuts. Generally, the suitable harvest period for peanuts can be viewed from the following three aspects.
1. Look at the reproductive period. The general growth period of peanut varieties is about 125 days.

3. Look at the plants. 2. Prematurely weakened plants. Peanut pods are not yet mature, while ground plants decline prematurely, and the accumulation of organic matter in the seed kernels is not sufficient. For seed use, not only the germination rate is not high, but also the characteristics of this variety will be lost, weakening year by year, which directly affects its yield.
3. Diseased plants. Plants suffering from fusarium wilt, leaf spot and peanut rust will bear pods for seed use, which will not only spread the disease, but also mostly empty pods and shriveled seeds.
